- Event Records/Media Reports: In August 2014, the Chinese Government rejected the civil nomination on the Hong Kong electoral reform. Student protest organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Students and Scholarism urged the beginning of Umbrella Movement. Thousands of people walked on the street to support the students and asked for universal suffrage.
